Spring Steps – Walking Again

And here is the end, the end of this season, this chapter, but not the end of my story or our story. Now it's April, and I can say this with a full heart—Cody is walking. He’s moving. He’s living life again. And let me tell you… It’s amazing.
March and April have flown by in the best way possible. Our home feels normal again, as normal as it can be for a newly married couple trying to figure out this co-parenting thing. Cody can take the trash out (hallelujah!), help with dinner, play outside with his son, and do all the things we used to take for granted, but you already heard me say that. So I will move on.
Every now and then, I just look at him and think, I am so lucky. Not because things are perfect, but because we’ve walked through fire and come out stronger. Because I’ve seen the depths of his strength. Because I’ve felt God move in our marriage in ways I never expected—and I’ll never stop being thankful for that.
To anyone reading this who’s still in the hard part—don’t give up. God is with you. He sees you. And your story isn’t over.
James 1:12 encourages me now: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life.”
We stood the test. And now, we’re walking into a new season—grateful, stronger, and full of faith.
We’re now approaching our first anniversary of marriage, and it feels like we’ve lived a lifetime in just these past several months. So much growth. So much healing. So many lessons in patience, trust, and love. As we move into this next chapter, Cody and I are placing another part of our story in God’s hands—our journey toward building a family. We’ve decided to surrender our hopes and dreams for growing our family to Him, and trust in His timing and plan. It’s a vulnerable place, but it’s also a peaceful one.
There’s so much we’re excited about—big plans, new opportunities, and fresh starts. I can’t wait to share more with you as things unfold. For now, we’re just taking it all in. One step, one prayer, one day at a time.
