Books To Start

As I have found myself on this new journey, I knew that I could not solely rely on reading the Bible and the Bible alone. Below I will discuss three books that I have found helpful thus far in my journey. Be mindful that it is still very early in my journey.

The first book, the one that started this whole thing off was actually a Christmas gift from my boyfriend's mother. At the time, I was not at a point in my life where I was ready to open my mind and heart to the possibility of Faith. Looking back, that makes me very sad, but fast forward to the present day-God has found his way into my life, just like he knew he would.

When I was gifted this book, I started to read a page every once and while, until one day it had been MONTHS since I last opened it, but I was struggling to sleep, and was sick of looking at my phone. I grabbed the book and opened it to the page that marked the day. I read the passage, and to my surprise it was the most relevant paragraph I could have ever read. Without being specific, it was somehow a direct comparison to my current life. Each day after that I have been devoted to reading each days passage before bed.

As I started to get deeper and deeper into wanting to learn more about God and what it means to be faithful to him, I stumbled across this book in Walmart. For some reason I was drawn to it, mind you at this time I wasn't fully devoted to learning as much as humanly possible. I picked it up, and haven't been able to put it down!

This book has opened my eyes to the relationships that are within the Bible and how important they really were to God's story. My fascination has really started to grow and learning about how the stories of the women in the Bible are still relevant in todays culture has been very beneficial to my journey thus far.

And last, but certainly NOT last-when I heard that Madison Preset Trout's new book, I ordered it in a heartbeat. I have been a fan of her for a long time, and I couldn't wait to dive into her thoughts on relationships, God, life and love.

This easy to read, and insightful book has continued to open my eyes to what it really means to be faithful to God and how we can best serve him. I can not wait to finish this book and continue my journey to Finding Faith.
